magae are the pieces, the potsherds,  kupanga is to restore them, to realign them

The teachers and parents subsequently asked the Matemwe School Headmaster, Hamad Khamis Haji to search for sufficient funds so that the School could install at least 10 more computers in the new classroom. The School had to plan of course to meet the additional downstream expenditure of such a project. Security issues, power consumption and not least the services of an IT professional who would supervise the computer class installation and operation over the first few months. This then was Project PANGA MAGAE. The plan was to raise at least USD 5000 and to have the computers up and running by the end of 2006.

In fact it was 2008 before all 10 computers were installed and operational. And we have still to secure the services of a full-time IT teacher.
